Getting your car ready to sell: the interior
If you are selling your car, the buyer will look inside it too. Here is a checklist for getting the interior ready before you take the photos for your listing and show the car.
Checklist: getting your car ready to sell
- Empty the car. Take your things out of the glovebox, door pockets, seat pockets and boot.
- Take the mats out and shake them.
- Vacuum thoroughly: seats, carpets, mats, boot and between the seats.
- Wipe all interior surfaces: dashboard, steering wheel, door panels and centre console.
- Clean the seats – fabric or leather – and the carpets and mats if they need it.
- Take the photos for your listing once the inside of the car is clean.
We get the interior ready
We come to your address and clean the inside of the car. Basic is thorough vacuuming, cleaning of all interior surfaces and before and after photos. Complete is everything in Basic plus deep cleaning of fabric seats, leather seat cleaning and deep cleaning of carpets and mats.
When you book, we ask for the car's licence plate, whether there is a power socket near the car and, with Complete, whether the seats are fabric or leather.
We only do interior car care – no exterior washing, polishing or paint treatment. If you are a dealer with several cars, see vehicle preparation for dealers and rental firms.
